Darren Gordon is an Acting Tutor with extensive experience of working with actors and actresses at all stages of their development. He has launched this company with a specific focus on developing technique relevant to the demands placed on the professional actor in the industry (both stage and screen) today.

The workshops we offer

always work towards performances usually in the form of showcases. We will assess the strengths and weaknesses of your work, identify your ‘selling points’, and then help you select, develop and perform material that will suitably display your ability. In conjunction with this, we organize and manage performances, housing them at significant Manchester venues, supporting you in promoting yourself to agents and casting directors by helping you build your promotional portfolio. We run classes for new and established actors, working actors, inexperienced actors, actors attempting to gain a drama school place and actors who have graduated from drama school and are pursuing professional work.

This includes:

• Developing your Actor’s Curriculum Vitae
• Organizing a headshot session with an established photographer
• Helping to write a covering letter that will attract attention
• Providing access to resources that will help you create a show-reel
• Identifying who you should approach to help progress your career
• Developing your experience through creating regular opportunities to perform for stage and screen
• Finding and creating networking opportunities that enable you to forge links with people who can help you succeed
• Providing constructive and detailed feedback on your performance work with a view to helping you understand what your strengths and weaknesses are
• Working on your audition technique
• Organizing specialist training sessions with industry professionals in order to work on specific areas of technique, such as Voice and Movement
